This classic Panama Style Hat is made by hand from dried palm fronds in Guatemala and is a perfect hat for every season.
Creation Process:
Artisans spend weeks stripping down large palm fronds after they have naturally dried in the sun. The strips are then trimmed to be identical and are woven together into each hat. Artisans use special molds and press the hat base with heat to create the soft indents of each hat.

Woven Futures' story began when their founder, Hannah, met several indigenous artisans from her home country of Guatemala who made incredible textile pieces but struggled to sell them. On a mission to connect them with the fashion industry and fight the toxic processes behind fast fashion, Hannah founded Woven.
Woven Futures' now partners with over 60 artisans in Guatemala every year to create a line of sustainably made products that honor their makers and invest in skill development training for artisans to support a more sustainable and equitable artisan industry.
